I have uploaded some vintage kimono fabric scarves on my Etsy shop.
They are one of a kind scarves.

Kahitsukan - a small contemporary art museum in Kyoto

Kyoto has a lot of museums for the size of city.
This tiny museum "Kahitsukan"  hold great modern art exhibitions, with stunning installations of art works, maximising the small space.

I especially like the artworks by Maya Maxx, whose exhibition is currently held at this museum (until June 12th 2011)  . I went to see her exhibition last year with my friends. They were awesome!

And don't forget to see all the floors of this museum.
At the top floor, there is a small inner garden by the tea room.
Great place to have a rest.

I have added hand made earrings on my Etsy shop.
Some used vintage beads and some upcycled.

Fabric covered buttons, hand carved & hand stamped

These are original fabric covered buttons. I hand carved the stamps, then hand stamped.

The colors are lovely, aren't they? I used Japanese ink pads for them.

Mo-an, a cafe in kyoto

This cafe Mo-an used to be a hidden jem, but nowadays all the tourists know this place.
It's not far from touristic Ginkaku-ji and philosopher's walk area but because this cafe is situated on top of a hill, you feel like being in a country side.

Food here is more or less normal, but you will enjoy this artful stylish cafe.

Kimono pincushions

I made the pincushions for myself (the bottom photo) and really liked it.

So, I decided to make more for Etsy shop.

These are all hand-made. Vintage kimono fabric covered butttons and small boxes.

Small boxes are decorated with paper designed by a Japanese artist.
