Inspiration: Mina Perhonen

Photos from Mina Perhonen official website

I just happened to find   "Mina Perhonen " new book (written in Japanese) at Avid Reader bookshop, West End, in Brisbane.

It's a great book for someone studying textile, fashion, graphic and interior design. Especially thumbnail photos of textiles and patterns at the back are great.

Everything designer Akira Minagawa produces is totally unique. 15 years of his works are packed in one book. Lots of photos and ideas, full of inspiration. Higly recommended.

SPACES by frankie magazine

It's unusal to be able to buy full colour picture book like this for only $23AUD.
I haven't bought it (yet). I borrowed it from the local library.
But here is the link of frankie magazine to check details → http://www.frankie.com.au/

Lots of inspirational photos. I especially liked the photos of studio spaces.
I need to make my studio space more creative!

Photo clips from Ikea magazine

I used to buy all sorts of interior magazines as I studied Interior decor.
My interest is shifting now but I still like houses and interiors.

When I was flipping through Ikea live magazine, my eyes were glued to this article.
I just loved the way she  (Mette Helena) decorated the house.
She mixes different colours, shapes, patterns, materials and styles, but they are so much in harmony.

The interior style of our house is Asian and modern mix with lots of dark colours, so I won't copy her style but I do admire her taste and creativity.

Cute photo clips from Japanese clothing catalogue

These clothing on the pictures are too girly for me, but I just love the photos of these cute girls.
I can't throw away this old catalogue.

The age of feminine drawing- gorgeous book!

I happened to find an awesome book at a local library.
Although this book was published in Hong Kong, more than half of artists feautured here were Japanese.
I love Japanese graphic books, but this one is soooo good.

Using different size and textures of papers, very cute graphic design goods, plenty of illustration in different styles and even photos of artists' workshops.

There is no new stock at Amazon Japan, but there are second hand ones.
I am wondering I should buy... I love to buy
