Japanese sweet at Seien (栖園), Kyoto
Well, this is the dessert should be eaten while the weather is warm. I guess it is still warm in Japan.
Eating beautifully presented "Kohaku- nagashi" at a cafe Seien (one corner of Wagashiya, Japanese confectionery shop) in a historic building, overlooking a well kept tiny Japanese garden is the perfect way to spend time in Kyoto.

Victorian antique button kimono necklace
I like the delicate look of these necklaces.
I used Victorian antique buttons and silk kimono fabric pieces. I made the design simple to enhance the beauty of buttons and fabrics.
I have four of them in stock.

Photo clips from Ikea magazine
I used to buy all sorts of interior magazines as I studied Interior decor.
My interest is shifting now but I still like houses and interiors.
When I was flipping through Ikea live magazine, my eyes were glued to this article.
I just loved the way she (Mette Helena) decorated the house.
She mixes different colours, shapes, patterns, materials and styles, but they are so much in harmony.
The interior style of our house is Asian and modern mix with lots of dark colours, so I won't copy her style but I do admire her taste and creativity.

Kibune shirine
Kibune is good place to visit during mid-summer as the temperture is a lot cooler than inner city Kyoto.
I love this place. So beautiful, especially Kibune river. It's hard to believe that downton Kyoto is only 30min away.
Kibune is sacred place with over 1000 years of history and I can feel that in the air. It is partly because it is situated in mountains, but there is somehow different atomosphere from other shrines.

Photos of ikebana- flower arrangement
These photos were taken at Queensland Art Gallery a while ago.
Sogetsu style ikebana is displayed near the entrance.
Every time I walk through the art gallery, I take a moment to observe a rather striking flower arrangement.
Do you like them?

Japan Town event @QUT
Thank you for everyone who stopped by my stall at Japan Town event last Wednesday and Thursday.
Thank you for QUT Japan members organising the event.
I only have photos of my stall. It's too late but I should have taken photos of QUT Japan members, other stalls and activities...
It was good oppotunity for me to talk to people and know what sort of items they are after.
A lot of people recommended me to have a stall at a regular market.
I have been thinking about it for a while, too. Hopefully in near future.
