New items: Vintage kimono scarves

These four vintage kimono scarves were uploaded on my Etsy site today.
Three from tops are made from meisen silk fabric. These kinds of unique and dynamic patterns are characteristic of meisen fabric. They are at least 60 years old.
Isn't cool to wear something old with fresh look?

Sarasa nishijin

This gorgeous Japanese style building used to be Sento (bath house) and now converted to a stylish cafe " Sarasa nishijin" The colourful tiles you can see were on the photo kept as they were.

Kyoto is fun place to see old renovated buildings. Some converted to cafe & restaurants, other to shops.

Flowers in June

In Japan, rainy season starts in June.
It's getting humid and depressing but Hydrendia flowers beautifully during the rainy days.

Kyoto has several gardens famous for Hydrendia.
Most famous one is Mimuroto temple in Uji, and Fujimori shrine is also popular for Hydrendia viewing.
Photos here were taken at Fujimori shrine.
